The role of Bell Person at Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa, is an essential position focused on providing superior guest service through the efficient and courteous handling of luggage and assisting with guest vehicle transportation. Bell Persons play a critical role in shaping the first and lasting impressions guests have during their visit. They are responsible for transporting guest luggage to and from rooms, ensuring the safe care and storage of guest belongings, and delivering various items such as newspapers and special guest deliveries like flowers or packages. Bell Persons must greet guests with warmth and professionalism, proactively addressing guest inquiries, providing directions, and offering detailed information about the resort and surrounding areas.
During the third shift, Bell Persons may also perform duties typically associated with valet services, including assisting arriving and departing guests with vehicle handling. This may involve driving guest vehicles safely, shuttling guests using resort vehicles such as busses or shuttles, and managing parking services. The position requires the ability to work both indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and high humidity, reflecting the tropical climate of Hawaii.
This full-time role requires flexibility in scheduling, with availability needed seven days a week, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and graveyard shifts if necessary. The compensation for this position is $21.66 per hour plus gratuities, with select medical, financial, and other benefits available as part of the employment package. Job Requirements
- Valid Hawaii drivers license and clean driving record with no tickets, accidents, or moving violations in the past 12 months
- ability to drive manual or automatic transmission
- may be required to work graveyard shifts if needed
- previous experience in a hotel or resort environment preferred
- previous experience working in a parking facility with type service such as airports, business office building, private parking structures
- knowledge of Hawaiian or Japanese language preferred
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or resort environment preferred

- bilingual preferred with knowledge of Hawaiian or Japanese language
- previous computer and/or cash handling experience
- excellent communication skills and high guest service expectations
Job Duties
- Transport guest luggage including but not limited to rooms, vehicles, storage
- care and storage of guest property
- delivering items to guest rooms including newspapers, express check-outs, guest deliveries such as flowers and packages
- greet guests with positive, friendly and helpful attitude
- proactively address guest needs by answering questions, giving directions and providing information regarding the hotel, resort or surrounding areas
- assist arriving and departing guests with their vehicles including shuttles, busses and other transportation
- drive all types of guest vehicles
