Job Description

Marriott Vacations Worldwide is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, specializing in vacation ownership and timeshare resort management. With a legacy of excellence spanning multiple decades, Marriott Vacations Worldwide is renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences, high-quality services, and a welcoming environment that ensures every visitor's stay is memorable. The company operates a diverse portfolio of resorts and vacation properties, blending luxury, comfort, and convenience to cater to a wide range of traveler preferences. Marriott Vacations Worldwide is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace culture that celebrates diversity and promotes professional growth for all its employees. As an equal opportunity employer, the organization emphasizes the importance of a respectful and supportive work environment.

The role being offered here is that of a Casual Bell Staff member, working between 0-19 hours per week with an hourly wage ranging from $16.56 to $20.70. This position is critical in maintaining the high standards of service that Marriott Vacations Worldwide is known for, especially as the first point of contact for guests arriving and departing from the hotel. The Bell Staff is responsible for immediate and courteous attention to guest needs, including assistance with luggage, providing information about hotel amenities and local attractions, and generally ensuring that guests enjoy a seamless and enjoyable stay.

This role demands a professional appearance, punctuality, and a genuine desire to assist guests at all times. The Bell Staff helps create a positive first impression and maintains the cleanliness and presentation of the lobby area throughout their shift. Responsibilities include delivering items to guest rooms, managing guest luggage storage, monitoring lobby security, and supporting the front desk by answering and directing phone calls. Additionally, Bell Staff members coordinate with other hotel departments to report issues or maintenance needs promptly, ensuring all guest needs are addressed efficiently.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in English, are essential for this position, allowing the Bell Staff to effectively convey information to guests and collaborate with management and colleagues. Physical demands of the role include walking, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, and lifting items up to 75 lbs at times, highlighting the importance of good physical fitness. Marriott Vacations Worldwide also prioritizes the safety of its employees; therefore, adherence to OSHA laws and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary are required.

The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, often requiring employees to work under deadline pressure while maintaining exemplary organization and service standards. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a hospitality setting, embracing the unique challenges and rewards of serving guests in a busy, 24/7 operation that values professionalism and attentiveness at all times.

In summary, joining Marriott Vacations Worldwide as Casual Bell Staff offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a respected hospitality leader, work a flexible schedule, earn a competitive hourly wage, and participate in delivering outstanding guest experiences in a supportive and inclusive work environment.
