Job Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in behavioral intervention or special education
  • Knowledge of ABA principles and methodologies
  • CPI certification or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to travel up to 35 miles one-way within assigned region
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Physical ability to support students in various activities
  • Flexibility to adapt to different school environments and student needs

Job Duties

  • Implement individual education plans (IEP) and behavior intervention plans (BIP) in collaboration with classroom teachers
  • Provide individualized behavioral instructional support to meet specific student needs
  • Apply applied behavior analysis (ABA) methodologies to address targeted behaviors
  • Monitor and assist students during transitions, meals, and daily activities
  • Facilitate recreational activities and support off-campus trips
  • Maintain detailed daily documentation of student behavior and progress across all required systems
  • Respond to emergency situations using nonviolent crisis intervention techniques
  • Establish effective communication channels with supervisors and agency staff
  • Provide professional, efficient, and effective services including scheduling, administrative, and payroll-related protocols
  • Accurately complete necessary documentation including session notes and client signatures
  • Collect and record data on observable client behavior
  • Maintain client confidentiality
  • Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients
  • Provide client-related communication to caregivers and the program team
  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings, staff meetings, in-services, and team meetings
  • Support supervisor in review of team performance and compliance including cancellations, minutes utilization, and session documentation
