As a company, ABS Kids values diversity and strives to foster an inclusive culture where every individual's stories and experiences are heard and celebrated. We are committed to equal employment opportunities and maintain a workplace that respects all backgrounds and identities, including race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, and veteran status. Located in California, ABS Kids offers a compassionate environment where employees can grow professionally and personally while making a tangible difference in their communities.
We are currently seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. This role is ideal for candidates with six or more months of experience working with kids or adults who have special needs. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $24.50, depending on experience and qualifications, with a special $500 bonus awarded after 90 days of employment. Additional incentives include pay increases for obtaining Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, paid drive time, mileage reimbursement, and participation in a 401(k) plan with company matching. Employees earn paid time off for every hour worked and benefit from comprehensive paid training. The role supports career advancement through the LAUNCH career path, which provides clear milestones, rewards, bonuses, and promotion opportunities.
As a Behavior Technician at ABS Kids, you will be responsible for implementing individualized behavior plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and collecting and recording data on client progress. You will work one-on-one with clients, primarily children with autism spectrum disorder, to help them develop essential skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, and social-emotional skills. The position requires someone energetic, creative, and dependable, with the physical ability to frequently get up and down off the floor and move quickly. Reliable transportation is necessary to travel to client homes and various locations. Technological proficiency is required to effectively use our data collection software and basic office programs. The role is ideal for individuals interested in evidence-based scientific methods proven to be effective in the behavioral health field. Joining ABS Kids means contributing to a mission-driven organization that values diversity, professional growth, and making a positive impact on the lives of children with autism and their families.
