Job Description

Kyo is a premier provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, widely recognized for its commitment to empowering children with autism and their families. Established in 2005, Kyo has successfully partnered with thousands of families across 11 states, demonstrating its extensive reach and deep expertise in delivering therapeutic solutions. The company focuses on providing effective, convenient, and tailored ABA therapy, designed specifically around each child's unique set of strengths, needs, and goals. This child-centric approach ensures that therapy is not only evidence-based but also personalized to foster meaningful progress in various settings such as the home, school, and community environments.

Operating with a passionate vision, Kyo emphasizes making every moment count for the children and families it supports. Their mission reflects a profound dedication to improving quality of life by facilitating personal development and unlocking potential in children with autism. As a Behavior Therapist at Kyo, you will play an integral role in this mission, applying your skills and compassion to help children achieve measurable and impactful outcomes.

The role of a Behavior Therapist at Kyo involves utilizing play-based ABA therapy methods that are grounded in scientifically validated practices. Therapists work directly with children to help them reach meaningful goals tailored for their everyday environments. By collecting detailed data to monitor progress, Behavior Therapists ensure that therapeutic interventions are effective and continually optimized. Collaboration is a cornerstone of this position, as therapists partner not only with the children but also with caregivers and clinical teams to maintain consistent high-quality support.

This position offers a wage range of $22.00 to $25.50 per hour, with the opportunity for both part-time and full-time employment. Part-time schedules require availability during select afternoons and mornings/middays, while full-time roles span Monday through Friday with a full workday of up to 8 hours. Alongside competitive pay, Kyo provides extensive support and training, including a paid Behavior Therapist Academy featuring coursework and one-on-one mentorship. The company also facilitates credentialing and state licensing costs.

Kyo offers a unique performance-based rewards program called Kyo Climb, integrated within their Care app, allowing Behavior Therapists to earn additional hourly bonuses and rewards for consistent attendance and performance. Furthermore, comprehensive benefits accompany this role, covering medical, dental, vision, life insurance, mileage reimbursement, referral bonuses, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs.

Beyond the immediate job responsibilities, Kyo opens pathways for career advancement, particularly for those interested in pursuing Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. With tuition reimbursement options for BCBA coursework, employees can grow professionally and deepen their impact within the healthcare field and beyond.

This position involves travel across numerous locations within the San Diego area, including Bonita, Cardiff by the Sea, Carlsbad, and several other neighboring communities. Reliable transportation and the ability to navigate between client homes are essential. Overall, a career with Kyo provides a fulfilling, impactful, and supportive environment for individuals passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of children with autism.
