Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, renowned for its comprehensive platform that covers venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Since its founding in 2015, OVG has grown rapidly and now proudly operates a collection of seven world-class owned venues on four continents, alongside an impressive client roster that includes some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions worldwide. This global presence positions OVG as a trailblazer in the live entertainment industry, delivering exceptional experiences through state-of-the-art venues and unparalleled service capabilities.
The Beertender role at Oak View Group is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment centered on delivering outstanding guest experiences through high-quality beverage service. This position plays an essential part in creating memorable moments for event attendees by serving beer and other approved beverages with professionalism, friendliness, and dependability. The ideal candidate must thrive in a constantly evolving setting, demonstrate excellent attendance, and be flexible to work various events as business needs dictate. This part-time role offers an hourly rate of $6.75, supplemented by tips, and includes access to benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions.
As a Beertender, your responsibilities will extend beyond merely serving drinks; you will embody the company’s commitment to guest service excellence by adhering to uniform standards, maintaining sanitary workstations, and managing a variety of beverage options—including beer, canned cocktails, and wine—while promoting products through upselling techniques. An integral part of the job is ensuring all alcohol service complies with state and federal regulations, including verifying guest IDs and handling cut-offs professionally. The role demands strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and conflict de-escalation, particularly when dealing with intoxicated guests. Collaboration with management and security staff may be required to resolve particularly challenging situations. Furthermore, the Beertender will assist in operational tasks such as restocking, setting up and breaking down equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized service area to ensure smooth event execution. This position highlights OVG’s dedication to inclusivity and team spirit, with a vibrant and supportive work culture focused on diversity and excellence.
