Job Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays
- Dependable work history demonstrating integrity
- Understanding of all key department operations
- Knowledge of safety standards and State Adult Beverage Laws
- Ability to operate power machinery and various job tools
- Skills related to production, merchandising, and customer service in retail
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and tactful in stressful situations
- Mathematical skills to calculate discounts, interest, and percentages
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in retail grocery or management roles preferred
- Knowledge of state Adult Beverage laws and employment regulations
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to train and lead team members effectively
- Proficient in mathematical calculations related to discounts and pricing
- Demonstrated ability to make quick, intelligent decisions in a retail environment
- Experience with merchandising and inventory management
Job Duties
- Interact with customers to assist in beverage selection and provide knowledgeable recommendations
- Plan, organize, train, and direct Adult Beverage department clerks
- Conduct a minimum of two tastings per week to promote products
- Manage inventory and order stock to maintain adequate levels while limiting shrink
- Maintain accurate pricing, shelf signs, merchandising displays, and planograms
- Communicate weekly sales opportunities and coordinate with grocery management
- Supervise and coach department staff, including performance reviews and feedback
- Ensure the department remains clean, organized, and safe
