Job Requirements

Must have a working understanding of beer
Must be familiar with ALE laws governing sale and purchasing of wine products
Must possess sales minded attitude with strong communication and guest service skills
Must be friendly and outgoing with a self-motivated and trustworthy character
Must be able to work well with others
Must be able to read and understand instructions
Must be able to communicate effectively with Store Manager, DSD Receiver, and vendors
Must be physically capable of bending, kneeling and standing for extended periods
Must be able to lift 30lbs consistently and 60lbs occasionally
Must be at least 21 years old

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Order and maintain appropriate inventory of Beer Den supplies
Order and maintain appropriate inventory of draught beer
Build and maintain professional relationships with distributor and wholesaler partners as well as direct sales associates from breweries
Regularly schedule events such as tap takeovers and conduct tastings for Beer Den and in-store demos or promotions
Assist with inventory and adhere to proper inventory practices as outlined by Manager of Financial Perpetual Inventory
Train all Beer Den Hosts and other Hosts throughout the store on operating procedures of the Beer Den
Perform routine maintenance on Beer Den equipment including line cleaning, faucet cleaning, and minor repairs
Drive packaged beer sales as well as growler sales by managing displays and coordinating with distributors to ensure proper inventory and pricing
Complete a weekly communication piece titled "What's Tappening" for Beer Den guests
Attend education and branding events scheduled by the Category Manager of Beer and Wine
Educate guests on product attributes and provide guidance for specific needs and preferences
Ensure marketing and brand materials are properly displayed and utilized
Maintain the sanitation and appearance of the Beer Den and prepare growlers according to established practices
Follow all state laws governing sampling, sale, and purchasing of beer
Fill growlers upon guest request adhering to filling, sealing and labeling standards
Announce specials and sale information on the PA system
Perform all other duties as assigned by management
