The Beauty Advisor role at Ulta Beauty is a crucial frontline position dedicated to delivering an exceptional shopping experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Demonstrated passion for guest service and sales
  • Proficient with basic technology including Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
  • Strong communication and customer relationship skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to stand, bend, push, pull, reach, twist frequently
  • Able to lift, carry, or move up to 25 pounds throughout shift

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty (including credit), omni-channel sales, and retail shrink
  • Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service, answering questions, informing guests about promotions and sales, and recommending complementary products and/or services
  • Courteously handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges and assist with online orders
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience
  • Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events while meeting sales goals
  • Stay informed about new and existing products and services including ingredients and benefits to better serve guests
  • Maintain prompt, regular attendance
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests
  • Share benefits of the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app with guests
  • Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
  • Regularly participate in ongoing training including brand and category education
  • Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards
  • Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code
  • Keep assigned work area replenished, signed, faced, and ensure testers are available
  • Maintain outstanding store cleanliness and standards including salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area
  • Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing and advertising displays, inventory, and processing shipments
  • Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service
  • Execute other operational tasks as directed
