The Operations Associate role at The Bay Club Company is pivotal in supporting the smooth functioning of the club and enhancing the overall member experience. This position involves working in various areas throughout the club including customer service, reception, café, pool deck, parking garage, and general club cleanliness. Operations Associates act as ambassadors of The Bay Club brand, delivering exceptional service by greeting members and guests warmly, verifying memberships, handling reservations and appointments, and communicating club programs and facilities information effectively. They are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing detailed cleaning duties and ensuring all operational stations are well-stocked and functional.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of company policies and regulations
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate information in writing
  • Ability to understand and communicate ideas verbally
  • Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Outlook
  • At least one year experience in hospitality or related field preferred
  • Food safety certification if applicable
  • Professional and friendly customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year experience in the hospitality industry or related service position preferred
  • Food safety certified if applicable
  • Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities

  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
  • Self-motivated and willing to acquire new skills
  • Well organized and detail oriented

  • Ability to utilize club software and email communication tools

Job Duties

  • Greet members and guests upon arrival to the club
  • Check members in by verifying their membership
  • Ensure all guests to the club complete a Guest Registration Waiver and pay applicable fees
  • Book appointments, program, and class reservations for members and guests
  • Provide information regarding club programming and facilities
  • Deliver exceptional service experience to members, guests, and associates
  • Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and follow-up
  • Provide membership sales team with guest/prospect lead contact information
  • Operate cash register and process payments
  • Manage and balance cash drawer each shift
  • Perform opening and/or closing duties as required
  • Answer and transfer phone calls
  • Create and serve food and beverage items in cafe
  • Promote daily specials and encourage upgrades
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment according to food safety standards
  • Greet members and guests at the pool area and act as host
  • Work with food and beverage team to offer food and drinks in designated areas
  • Provide seating and tours of pool deck amenities
  • Assist with refreshment stations and towel operations
  • Warmly greet members in parking garage and verify memberships
  • Audit cars parked in garage as needed
  • Assist maintaining cleanliness and stock levels throughout the club
  • Perform detailed cleaning and preventive maintenance duties
  • Restock vanity supplies and janitorial products
  • Assist with laundry functions including towels
  • Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate
  • Actively participate in events, programs, meetings, and trainings
  • Flexibility in work schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
