The employees are supported with comprehensive benefits, including medical and dental coverage options, a 401k plan with a company match, company-paid life insurance, and supplemental coverage packages. The compensation for this role starts at $19.00 per hour, with adjustments based on experience.
The role of Batcher Technician - Mixer on the first shift is a critical position within the manufacturing process. The technician works from assigned work orders to properly batch formulas that will be utilized downstream in packaging. This involves operating a range of blending equipment and following meticulous procedures to ensure that formulas meet quality control standards. The position requires the technician to review daily priorities with the Batching Supervisor, prepare and sanitize tanks before batching new formulas, and pull the necessary materials for each batch. Additionally, the technician is responsible for assisting in spill containment efforts, showcasing the importance of safety awareness.
Key responsibilities also include following batching procedures exactly as prescribed by work orders, submitting samples for quality control releases, and performing any necessary batch modifications as directed by the chemist. After approval, the technician must label tanks according to HAZMAT requirements and ensure the proper transfer and identification of products into holding tanks, totes, or drums. The job also demands flushing and securing tanks after batches are completed, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area, and ensuring all equipment is properly shut down at the end of the day. The role is integral to upholding company production standards and rates while fostering a safe and efficient workplace that adheres to all company safety and health policies. Prospective candidates must be willing to complete a Culture Index Survey as part of the application process, which helps align their traits with the company's culture. Overall, this position offers not only a stable and supportive work environment but also an opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing operations focused on precision and compliance.
