Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred
- basic mechanical skills for maintenance tasks

- ability to conduct vehicle inspections and equipment checks
- valid driver’s license

Job Duties
- Perform all duties in a safe and consistent manner
- push or pull up to 100 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs
- shovel, use a wheelbarrow, and hose down pads
- use hand tools including hammers, mallets, wrenches, grease guns
- perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment, check and fill fluids as required
- perform basic maintenance of trucks, plants, and equipment
- keep work station, plants, and equipment clean and tidy
- complete paperwork such as delivery tickets, driver's start times, air and slump tests, vehicle inspection reports
- drive interstate, state and county highways, city streets, dirt roads and mine sites
- operate company pick-up trucks and heavy equipment like loaders, haul trucks, excavators
- follow defined standard operating procedures
- use a computer and batch panels daily
- interact directly with drivers, customers and contractors
- follow directions and complete tasks on time
- learn to perform air and slump tests of concrete
- show up on time for scheduled shifts
