Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
- Physical capability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds
- Successful completion of OSHA training for powered industrial equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail in quality control and record keeping
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work for set wage amount
- Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
- Ability to read, understand and follow directions and posted warning signs
- Appropriate eye, hand and foot coordination to operate equipment and tools
- Ability to load, unload and lift up to 50 pounds
- Completion of OSHA Powered Industrial Equipment training and passing associated tests
- Complete understanding of clean in place process and requirements
- Effective communication of mechanical or material issues to supervisors
- Documentation and proper disposal of rejected materials
- Maintenance of clean and organized work area
- Ability to assist with mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance
- Experience performing clean in place duties per quality assurance directives
Job Duties
- Ensure product sent to filler follows approved recipe using Good Manufacturing Practices and lot control
- Coordinate staging of ingredients and equipment usage to avoid stopping the production line
- Operate all batching room equipment and thermal units with significant expertise
- Understand and apply quality requirements for products and materials during scheduled runs
- Make necessary equipment adjustments according to formula standards
- Maintain cleanliness of batching room thermal units and staging areas
- Rinse and properly store drums and containers
- Report repeated deviations from quality standards to lead hand or supervisor
- Match production schedule with product runs and maintain detailed records
- Conduct visual inspections as per product standards
- Log downtime during production runs and report to shift supervisor
- Follow all company manufacturing and safety policies
- Ensure adherence to food safety and quality protocols
- Report food safety and quality issues promptly to authorized personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
