Job Description

Ansley Golf Club is a prestigious private golf club known for providing an exceptional recreational and dining experience to its members and their guests. The club is renowned for its beautifully maintained golf courses, elegant clubhouse facilities, and outstanding member services that emphasize quality, comfort, and community. With a commitment to excellence and hospitality, Ansley Golf Club offers year-round recreational opportunities, dining experiences, and social events designed to foster a welcoming environment for members to relax and enjoy their leisure time.

The role of Bartender/Server at Ansley Golf Club is a part-time, hourly position integral to delivering superior dining services within the club's food and beverage department. This role involves assembling, serving, bartending, and delivering food and beverage items efficiently while adhering to the highest safety, sanitation, and professional etiquette standards. Working predominantly under general supervision, this position requires attention to detail, a proactive approach to customer service, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order in designated service areas.

The Bartender/Server facilitates an exceptional dining experience for club members and their guests by ensuring timely service and personalized attention. Employees in this role are expected to comply with the club's uniform standards and report to duty as scheduled. Duties include meticulous cleaning of equipment and service areas at both the start and end of shifts, stock management, and addressing any shortages promptly with the Manager on Duty. The role also involves ensuring the dining areas are spotless and inviting prior to meal service hours and maintaining these standards consistently throughout each shift.

An essential aspect of this position is engaging with club members warmly and professionally within the first minute of their arrival. The Bartender/Server is responsible for communicating daily food and beverage specials and demonstrating comprehensive knowledge about the menu and wine selections to enhance the dining experience. Taking orders accurately using the club's POS system, delivering orders promptly, clearing tables, refilling beverages, and monitoring dining members attentively are crucial duties.

The position demands proficiency in processing member checks, obtaining signatures, and ensuring accuracy before submission to the Manager on Duty at the end of each shift. Resetting tables efficiently and assisting coworkers regardless of assigned sections underscores the team-oriented culture at Ansley Golf Club. Employees are also encouraged to continually expand their knowledge of the club’s food and beverage offerings to provide informed recommendations.

A minimum of one year bartending experience is required for this role, highlighting the need for specific skills in drink preparation and customer interaction at the bar. This role is physically demanding, involving frequent lifting, bending, reaching, pulling, stair climbing, and standing for extended periods—up to six hours per shift. The ability to handle glassware safely and maintain a positive attitude even during fast-paced and high-pressure situations is essential.

Part-time Bartender/Server positions at Ansley Golf Club typically average less than 30 hours per week, with schedules that vary, including holiday and weekend shifts. This position demands flexibility, reliability, and a strong work ethic to support the dynamic needs of the club's operations. If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment focused on outstanding member service, this opportunity at Ansley Golf Club offers a rewarding and engaging work setting.
