The Bartender/Server role at Sunriver Resort is integral in maintaining the high standards of service that the Crosswater Grille is known for. This position focuses on both mixing and serving drinks as well as attending to guests with food and beverage orders. The role involves acting as a critical link between the kitchen and the guests, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. The Bartender/Server not only takes orders and delivers food and beverages but also upholds the resort's dynamic service culture by incorporating guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and special requests into their service. This role demands a professional demeanor that exemplifies the resort's core values, aiming to provide exceptional service with sincerity and a warm welcome.
In this position, the successful candidate is expected to maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, beverages, cocktail recipes, and wine pairings, helping guests make informed and memorable dining choices. The Bartender/Server is also responsible for monitoring the guest experience, promptly responding to their needs, and using creative selling techniques to enhance the overall stay. Beyond service, maintaining cleanliness and organization in bar and service areas, accurate handling of payments, proper adherence to safety and OLCC regulations, and meticulous attention to ordering and stock replenishment are vital aspects of the role.

Job Requirements
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must possess valid OLCC card upon hire
- Must possess valid Food Handler's card upon hire
- Must participate in RVP and Retail sales program as well
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school education required
- At least one year resort server experience preferred
- At least one year food and beverage experience preferred
- At least six months experience with POS systems preferred
- At least one year bartending experience preferred
- At least one year of customer service experience required
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
Job Duties
- Takes food and beverage orders using proper procedures and enters them accurately into the POS system
- Serves food and beverages to guests, ensuring timely and high-quality service
- Performs final quality checks on all food and beverage items prior to serving
- Mixes and prepares cocktails and other beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Maintains full knowledge of all menus, meal periods, beverage offerings, and specials
- Explains menu items, preparation methods, ingredients, and offers recommendations, including wine pairings
- Incorporates guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and special requests into service delivery
