Job Description
South Suburban is a vibrant and comprehensive recreation district dedicated to fostering healthy living through environmental stewardship and community engagement. Serving multiple communities across Bow Mar, Columbine Valley, Centennial west of I-25, Littleton, Lone Tree, Sheridan, and unincorporated areas of Douglas, Jefferson, and Arapahoe counties, South Suburban offers a wide variety of recreational services and programs designed to enhance the quality of life for its residents. The district manages an impressive portfolio of amenities including four full-service recreation centers, golf courses, outdoor pools and restaurants, ice centers, miniature golf courses, a botanical garden event center, BMX track, sports dome, batting cages, an entertainment center, a hotel, and a nature center. Additionally, South Suburban maintains nearly 3,800 acres of developed and open space land featuring athletic fields, parks, trails, playgrounds, tennis courts, and the expansive South Platte Park.
Currently, South Suburban is seeking a part-time Bartender/Server to join their team. This role focuses on providing guests with exceptional food and beverage service with an emphasis on attentive, gracious, and friendly interaction. The position offers an hourly wage of $12.14 plus tips and involves guiding guests through the food and beverage menus while recommending upgrades to enhance their dining experience. The ideal candidate will be punctual, able to stand for extended periods, and follow directions effectively. No prior experience is strictly required, but preference is given to those with some background in food and beverage or hospitality settings.
Bartenders and servers at South Suburban are expected to display a professional and welcoming demeanor at all times, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented, positive attitude to ensure 100% guest satisfaction. Candidates should have working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and common drink recipes, basic math skills for handling money and operating point-of-sale systems, and an understanding of beverage and food handling policies and procedures. Alcohol certification such as TIPS is considered a plus, and flexibility to work various shifts is necessary. Job Requirements
- Must be twenty-one (21+) to sell alcoholic beverages
- Ability to arrive to work on time

- Flexible availability to work various shifts
- Preferably some experience in food and beverage or hospitality
- Alcohol certification (TIPS) is a plus
