Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months or more bartending experience
  • ability to check IDs and comply with alcohol service laws
  • strong cash handling skills
  • capability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • excellent communication abilities
  • ability to manage challenging guest interactions professionally
  • capacity for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area

Job Qualifications

  • Six months or more experience bartending
  • accurate cash handling skills
  • ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours
  • bartending school preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, interaction with coworkers and uniform standards
  • follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide service
  • serve alcoholic beverages following proper procedures and state/federal regulations
  • learn and suggestively upsell various beer, wine and spirits
  • pour drinks responsibly according to company standards
  • check guest ID to verify minimum age for alcohol purchase
  • communicate cut-off to guests as needed
  • listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if necessary
  • request and restock product as required
  • handle cash accurately and maintain assigned bank
  • keep work station clean and sanitary and maintain bar equipment
  • set up and break down bar equipment
  • assist with cooler organization
  • perform other duties as assigned
