The role offered is for a full-time Bartender position at the Tarpon Bar located at the Bayview Pool Tiki Bar within South Seas Resort. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $12.00 plus the opportunity to earn additional income through tips. The bartender will play a vital role in delivering outstanding service by expertly mixing and serving alcoholic beverages while adhering strictly to legal requirements and company standards. The position requires close attention to detail in following recipes, maintaining sanitary conditions, and providing attentive and personable service to resort members and guests. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and has a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
The bartender will be responsible for numerous operational functions including managing inventory, ensuring the bar is properly stocked and organized, completing shift checklists, and maintaining continuous communication with restaurant management and fellow staff to deliver smooth service flow. Additionally, the bartender is expected to uphold impeccable standards of appearance and professionalism while also being an effective multitasker who anticipates needs and acts proactively. Flexibility is necessary as the position requires a 40-hour workweek including weekends and holidays. Compliance with all legal requirements related to alcohol service including valid driver’s license, age verification, alcohol awareness certification, and food handlers certification is mandatory. Fluency in English and the ability to communicate clearly are essential, with additional language skills seen as an asset. Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license with motor vehicle background check
- be at least 18 years old to serve/sell alcohol in Florida
- alcohol awareness certification (can be provided by South Seas)
- food handlers certification (can be provided by South Seas)
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year bartending experience preferred
- fluent in English
- ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for prolonged periods
- availability to work 40 hours per week including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Follow all SOPs assigned for the position each shift
- complete all shift checklists assigned by leadership daily
- possess specific knowledge of house wines, beer and liquor selections and up sell where applicable
- take guest orders with proper communication and service execution
- adhere to strict drink recipe portions in regard to law, sanitation, and service excellence
- requisition liquor and supplies needed, maintaining par list
- exchange information daily with Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager and line level associates
- conduct pre-shifts with staff and management
- arrange and stock bar with supplies and condiments to specifications
- arrange bottles and glasses according to specifications
- ensure clean and sanitary conditions at all times
- execute steps of service and company standards
- execute Restaurant BEOs as needed
- follow associate schedule and work assignments
