Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work from Thursday to Monday from 11:30 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
  • capacity to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • physical ability to maintain cleanliness and perform sanitation duties
  • prior experience in a dining or dietary role preferred but not mandatory
  • willingness to attend all required trainings, orientations, and meetings

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstration of core values including love, kindness, honesty, goodness, fairness, and respect
  • previous experience in the dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred but not required
  • ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection control, health department, and OSHA

Job Duties

  • Be present in dining room for full meal service
  • assist special functions as scheduled
  • maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary and infection free environment at all times
  • oversight of bistro areas as directed including food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, and popcorn preparation
  • know the specials of the day and understand how they are prepared and presented
  • learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes
  • serve hot food hot and cold food cold as required
  • participate in the Quality Assurance Committee when directed
  • sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal
  • attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings
