Job Description

This position is for a Bartender role within an establishment that prioritizes positive guest experiences and quality service. Job Requirements

  • Must have valid driver’s license to operate beverage carts
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior bartending experience required
  • Must be age 21 or older
  • Must complete Serve-Safe program after hire
  • Knowledge of cocktails and drink recipes
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public
  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
  • Ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and organization
  • Ability to work cooperatively
  • Ability to perform independently
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Prior bartending experience
  • Knowledge in the art and science of cocktails and drink recipes
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Ability to perform work with accuracy and organization
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to perform with independence and initiative

Job Duties

  • Greets guests and takes beverage orders from restaurant servers or directly from guests
  • Mixes drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards
  • Checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • Collects payment for drinks served and follows all cash handling procedures
  • Works with Bar Manager to ensure bar area is fully equipped with necessary tools and products and prepares inventory or purchase orders as needed
  • Serves snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions
  • Maintains a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and wiping as needed
  • Provides guidance to guests on Cleveland Metroparks activities and other regional information
  • Keeps direct supervisor informed of significant issues or concerns
  • Carries out duties safely to maintain a safe work environment and responds to hazardous situations promptly
  • Performs related duties as assigned or apparent
