Job Description

Job Requirements

Must have valid driver’s license to operate beverage carts
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior bartending experience required
Must be age 21 or older
Must complete Serve-Safe program after hire
Knowledge of cocktails and drink recipes
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public
Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
Ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and organization
Ability to work cooperatively
Ability to perform independently
Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Prior bartending experience
Knowledge in the art and science of cocktails and drink recipes
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
Ability to perform work with accuracy and organization
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Ability to perform with independence and initiative

Job Duties

Greets guests and takes beverage orders from restaurant servers or directly from guests
Mixes drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards
Checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
Collects payment for drinks served and follows all cash handling procedures
Works with Bar Manager to ensure bar area is fully equipped with necessary tools and products and prepares inventory or purchase orders as needed
Serves snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions
Maintains a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and wiping as needed
Provides guidance to guests on Cleveland Metroparks activities and other regional information
Keeps direct supervisor informed of significant issues or concerns
Carries out duties safely to maintain a safe work environment and responds to hazardous situations promptly
