Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
legal age to serve alcoholic beverages as per state and federal law
prior bartending or beverage service experience preferred
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
ability to check guest identification accurately
must be able to stand and move for extended periods
availability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends

Job Duties

demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide beverage service
serve alcoholic drinks in compliance with all state and federal regulations
learn and suggestively upsell various beers, wines and spirits
pour drinks responsibly following company serving size standards
verify guest IDs according to legal minimum age requirements
communicate cut-off to guests when necessary
respond and listen to customer requests or concerns
de-escalate intoxicated or confrontational guest situations and contact management or security if required
request management assistance when decisions exceed standard scope
restock and manage bar products
accurately ring up customer purchases
maintain clean and sanitary work station
ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
assist with setup and breakdown of bar equipment and cooler organization
perform other assigned duties as needed
