Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current alcohol awareness certification such as TIPS or LEADS
  • Two years of bartending experience
  • Wear approved manufacturer certified slip resistant or non-slip shoes at all times
  • Comply with all safety, sanitation, food service, beverage, alcohol, code of conduct, work rules, management instructions, policies and procedures
  • Maintain proper hygiene and personal grooming
  • Arrive on time in designated restaurant uniform
  • Participate in all required trainings and complete examinations
  • Exhibit a team player attitude and can-do mindset in supporting operational needs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current alcohol awareness certification such as TIPS or LEADS
  • Two years of experience performing the full range of bartending activities
  • Knowledge of mixed drink recipes, measuring and serving standards, and bartending safety and sanitation practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage others verbally
  • Basic arithmetic skills to perform cash-handling activities
  • Ability to listen and speak basic English to maintain effective communications
  • Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions, policies, and procedures in English
  • Demonstrated skill in point of sale and other restaurant information systems

Job Duties

  • Perform all bartending, cash and credit-card handling, garnish, set-up, ordering, stocking and inventory, cleaning and sanitation work activities in accordance with bartending procedures, steps of service manual, IDPRP manual, and management directives
  • Observe guests and ensure full guest satisfaction by serving all alcohol and mixed drinks in a friendly and timely manner
  • Monitor guest behavior according to alcohol awareness procedures in order to prevent intoxication and follow all protocols in handling intoxicated guests
  • Maintain adequate supply of ice, glasses, and other bar supplies according to established requirements
  • Process transactions using Point of Sale information systems according to established procedures and training requirements
