The role available is that of a Bartender, a pivotal position that blends exceptional hospitality with expertise in food and beverage service. The Bartender is responsible for offering top-notch service by preparing and serving drinks, managing the bar station, and engaging with customers warmly and professionally. This role requires a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates a 'do whatever it takes' attitude throughout their shift. Compliance with company policies, health codes, and beverage service laws is expected at all times. A successful Bartender in this role not only delivers drinks promptly but also contributes to the overall guest experience by interacting with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction from the first to the last contact.
The Bartender will also be entrusted with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar, assisting servers as needed, managing To Go orders efficiently, and ensuring the responsible service of alcohol by verifying customer age. Additionally, proficiency in salesmanship and knowledge of diverse drink menus, including seafood specials, beers, wines, and liquors, is essential. Job Requirements
- Must be able to spend 100% of working time standing, walking, and reaching
- pushing, pulling and lifting objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally, from position to position
- maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching in narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces
- climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
- must be able to carry loads greater than 50 pounds frequently
- must be able to communicate clearly with our customer in the primary language of the restaurant
- hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction
- specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or GED preferred
- 1 to 3 years’ experience bartending in food and beverage environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
- must be at least the minimum age required to serve alcohol as determined by applicable state law
- able to free-pour to recipe and specification
- extensive knowledge of beer, wine and liquor
- good reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills
- able to interact professionally with other customers and team members
- able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- good judgment and decision making abilities
Job Duties

- utilize genuine salesmanship techniques during customer interactions
- possess an extensive knowledge of all food, serious seafood, chalkboard specials and beverage selections
- place accurate orders using the POS
- deliver food/beverages to customers with a sense of urgency, delivering hot food hot, cold food cold
- pre-bus as needed
- manage the bar during each shift as though it were your own business
- maintain a clean and organized bar top, storage areas, and service bar station
- adhere to responsible beverage service requirements
- verify all customers that purchase alcohol are at least 21 years of age
- answer the telephone in a friendly, upbeat manner and with a smile on your face
- take and manage all To Go orders
- adhere to cash handling policies
- perform secondary responsibilities
- assist servers by running drinks to their tables
- help the host by encouraging customers to come sit in the bar
- assist other bartenders by stocking glassware, ice, garnishes, etc
- complete assigned opening, ongoing, and closing sidework
- maintain a safe, sanitary, and secure environment at all times
- notify a manager of all customer complaints
- remain calm at all times
- perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by a manager
