The Cove Aquatic Center's The Spotted Frog is a distinctive bar located within the renowned Sunriver Resort, a premier destination in the Pacific Northwest known for its commitment to excellence, luxury, and guest satisfaction. Sunriver Resort has established itself as a leading resort experience that provides guests with a wide range of amenities, including fine dining, recreational activities, and exceptional customer service. The Spotted Frog complements this environment by offering guests a relaxing poolside bar experience featuring a full range of refreshing frozen beverages, beer, and wine sourced from the Pacific Northwest. The ambiance at The Spotted Frog is inviting, making it a popular spot for Sunriver Resort guests to unwind and enjoy snacks or meals either at the bar, in the cafe, or poolside.

The Spotted Frog is currently hiring bartenders who will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards that guests expect from a AAA Four Diamond resort. The bartender's role involves expertly mixing and serving drinks while ensuring compliance with all legal alcohol consumption age requirements. This position is about more than just preparing beverages; it is about contributing to the overall guest experience by delivering exceptional customer service, embodying the core values of Sunriver Resort - trust, open and honest communication, and commitment - and enhancing the resort's reputation as both a destination and an employer of choice.

Bartenders at The Spotted Frog are expected to maintain a clean and organized work environment, manage inventory and supplies, properly use the point-of-sale system, and uphold OLCC, Food Handlers, and CPR standards and resort policies. The position requires a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the drive to provide warm, personalized guest interactions, including offering menu advice and maintaining knowledge of beverage trends. Furthermore, bartenders at this venue play an essential part in poolside food and beverage service, engaging with guests to create a memorable and enjoyable resort experience. Job Requirements

High school education required
at least one year resort server experience preferred
at least one year food and beverage experience preferred
at least six months experience with POS systems preferred
at least one year bartending experience preferred
must be at least 21 years of age
must possess valid OLCC card upon hire
must possess valid Food Handler's card upon hire
must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates
must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height
must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

High school education required
at least one year resort server experience preferred
at least one year food and beverage experience preferred
at least six months experience with POS systems preferred
at least one year bartending experience preferred
must be at least 21 years of age
must possess valid OLCC card upon hire
must possess valid Food Handler's card upon hire
must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates

Job Duties

Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
provide food and beverage poolside service as required
mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other beverages according to recipe
maintains cleanliness of walk-ins and reach-ins
adheres to all OLCC, Food Handlers and CPR standards and Sunriver Resort policies
ensures cleanliness of bar and glassware
takes food and beverages orders, using POS system to ring items in
ensures opening, ongoing and closing sidework is complete and signed off by a manager on duty
counts money in cash drawers at end of shift to ensure the amounts are correct and there is adequate change
ensures end of shift bank is balanced with appropriate procedures followed in daily drop
obtains credit cards or room information to begin tabs
must ensure bookkeeping and proper payment is received
maintains seasonal liquor, beer and wine pars
responsible for daily requisition completion
properly reports tips and hours at the end of each shift using the proper documents for recording
ensures supplies/ingredients are properly stocked before, during and after shift
checks identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase/consumption
offers menu advice and suggestions to guests
maintains a strong knowledge of beverage trends
attends monthly mandatory department meeting
resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness
provides general resort information for guests
offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name and good eye contact with each guest
maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
