Job Description
Fresquez Companies is a well-established, family-owned and operated business renowned for managing over 20 successful restaurant locations across New Mexico, Texas, and Colorado. Committed to reinvesting in and giving back to the communities in which it operates, Fresquez Companies embodies a passion for service that extends beyond food and hospitality. The company's mission centers around empowering lives by delivering authentic, impactful, and exceptional experiences to every team member and guest. This dedication has fostered a culture that values teamwork, respect, and leadership at every level. Team Fresquez strongly believes in limitless possibilities and encourages its employees to dream big and achieve significant career milestones, with numerous opportunities for growth and promotion from within the organization.
As part of this vibrant team, every employee is seen as a leader with the power to positively influence others through their actions and words. Punctuality, responsibility, and respect are foundational qualities within this busy and dynamic work environment. Fresquez Companies prides itself on fostering trust, collaboration, and continuous personal and professional development among its team members.
The Bartender role at Fresquez Companies is an essential component of providing top-tier guest experiences. Scheduled to open in October 2025, this position calls for a friendly, outgoing individual with strong communication skills and an unwavering passion for creativity and service. Bartenders at Fresquez Companies are responsible for mixing and serving drinks—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic—either directly to guests or through wait staff. Beyond drink preparation, bartenders will interact with guests to assess their needs and preferences, recommend beverages, and take food orders, all while maintaining a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
Consistency, organization, and the ability to act swiftly and independently are critical to success in this position. Bartenders ensure guests have memorable visits by maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, handling cash, and upholding food and beverage regulations. A keen eye for building attractive displays and preparing drink garnishes complements the technical skills required. Bartenders must also uphold legal drinking age policies and address situations involving excessive drinking responsibly, including arranging transportation for guests when necessary. This role demands a recognized New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit and Food Handlers Certificate.
The work environment is typically fast-paced with moderate to high noise levels, requiring the bartender to be physically active—standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions. Shifts vary from early morning to late evening throughout the week, including holidays. Fresquez Companies values team collaboration and effective communication across all departments to maintain a safe, ethical, and exceptional dining experience for its guests. By joining the team, bartenders will enjoy competitive pay, flexible schedules, and numerous benefits that support their health, education, and career progression. Fresquez Companies also demonstrates a strong commitment to equal employment opportunity, embracing diversity and inclusion at all levels of employment.
