Key responsibilities include verifying guest identification to comply with legal drinking age requirements, serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, taking and submitting food orders, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area. Bartenders also manage inventory, prepare drink garnishments, arrange attractive displays, handle cash transactions, and ensure compliance with all food and beverage regulations and safety policies. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year restaurant/bartending experience required
- Restaurant industry experience preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant food safety and sanitation laws, principles, procedures, and practices
- Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment drug screening
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check
- Satisfactory completion of a background check in accordance with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of company and FDA standards, processes and procedures
- Detail oriented
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Team player - Ability to act in a collaborative manner which contributes to creating an environment of respect and professionalism displayed at all times toward management, co-workers, guests, and vendors

Job Qualifications

- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

Job Duties
- Check identification of each guest to confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Serve alcohol and non-alcohol related beverages
- Plan and present bar menu - Take and submit food orders
- Assess guest needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Maintain overall bar and utensil cleanliness
- Stock and restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Prepare drink garnishment
- Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
- Cash handling

- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to guests' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking, ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated guests
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
- Helps guests select food and beverages by presenting menu
