Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- high school diploma, GED certification or equivalent
- one year of bartending experience in a venue with similar volume
- must successfully pass a stringent background investigation
- must pass pre-employment and random drug screening
- must obtain and maintain a New Mexico Alcohol Server’s License prior to hire date
- ability to lift at least 150 lbs
- ability to maintain a safe work environment
- punctual and reliable attendance
- ability to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- ability to handle challenging situations professionally
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent
- must be at least 21 years of age
- one year of bartending experience in a similar venue
- knowledge of beverage preparation and delivery systems
- excellent beverage knowledge including ingredients and mixing techniques
- ability to provide personalized guest service
- experience with POS systems
- strong customer service focus
- ability to follow oral and written directions
- knowledge of basic sanitation and safety procedures
- ability to work harmoniously within a team environment
- exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Provides exceptional service to guests by taking orders, making recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience
- crafts and serves a wide range of beverages including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks
- serves food items as required
- prepares drinks with proper pouring portions and ingredients according to recipe with correct jigger and wine carafe usage
- presents drinks to guests or servers as required
- sets up the bar area at beginning of shift including stocking products and changing kegs
- breaks down the bar area at closing including cleaning and wiping down surfaces
- checks equipment and reports problems to supervisory team
- operates POS system and manages financial transactions with integrity
- adheres to all applicable laws and regulations governing alcohol service
- refuses service to guests who appear intoxicated and handles challenging situations tactfully
- responsible for cleanup of bar/workstation and completing closing paperwork
- assists in the training of new team members
- ensures glassware is clean and free of damage
- attends pre-shift meetings
- completes daily sales, cash, and credit card reconciliation
- ensures all products are properly secured and stored
- ensures responsible alcohol service is upheld by self and co-workers
- completes incident documentation and temperature logs
- represents the department positively through professional conduct and appearance
- accurately tenders and presents checks to guests
- is punctual and maintains regular attendance
- changes kegs in absence of barback
- responsible for maintenance and proper sanitation of tables
- performs other job-related duties as assigned
