Job Description
The Connecticut Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) is a reputable organization dedicated to delivering world-class entertainment experiences to theater patrons throughout Connecticut. CAPA manages several historic theaters and cultural venues, hosting a wide variety of performances from concerts and live shows to theatrical productions and community events. Renowned for its commitment to arts and culture, CAPA strives to offer exemplary customer service and seamless event operations that enhance the experience for every guest who walks into its venues. With a firm focus on community engagement and excellence in entertainment, CAPA provides a dynamic and vibrant environment where the performing arts flourish and audiences enjoy unforgettable events. The organization values teamwork, professionalism, and an unwavering passion for the arts, making it a sought-after employer in the cultural sector.
The part-time Bartender role at CAPA is a crucial position that directly impacts the guest experience during performances and events. This position demands an individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, a strong understanding of beverage preparation, and operational excellence behind the bar. The Bartender is responsible for serving guests with professionalism and precision, crafting beverages with care, and upholding high standards of cleanliness and organization in the bar area. Beyond making drinks, the Bartender manages all transactions accurately, including cash handling and shift reconciliation, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency. The role requires maintaining stock levels before, during, and after events, dealing with guest concerns, and sometimes assisting in training peers. With a base pay of $17 per hour, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as part of a team, and values contributing to memorable experiences in the performing arts sector. The work schedule is flexible but requires availability for evening and weekend shifts, reflecting the typical event hours at CAPA venues. This opportunity not only offers competitive compensation but also the chance to be part of a celebrated cultural organization where customer satisfaction and the arts are at the forefront.
