Bartenders at Sheraton Duluth are expected to uphold the brand's standards, maintaining a positive guest experience through attentive service and an ability to multitask effectively even during busy hours. The schedule for this role includes afternoon and evening shifts from 3:30 pm to midnight, with weekend availability required. The hourly pay for this position is $11.41, making it a competitive option for those seeking part-time work within the hospitality sector. The Bartender's duties include maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the hotel's food and beverage offerings, upselling menu items, using computerized systems for order entries, handling payments accurately, and ensuring the cleanliness and smooth operation of the bar and restaurant areas. They are responsible for inventory management of bar materials, verifying legal age for alcohol consumption, and managing guest behavior responsibly. Bartenders are also expected to adhere to Food Handler guidelines and complete assigned tasks that support the overall Food & Beverage operations. The position emphasizes the importance of The Spirit to Serve, a core value reflecting the hotel's commitment to creating memorable guest moments through courteous and respectful service. Sheraton Duluth fosters a team-oriented environment and values individuals who bring passion and professionalism to their roles. The benefits package includes employer-paid short-term disability and life insurance, an employee assistance program, a fully vested 401(k) match program, and discounts on Starbucks and hotel services. Sherman Associates is committed to equal opportunity employment and encourages diverse candidates to apply.
