Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hotel or related field preferred
- Flexible schedule with long hours sometimes required
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to listen, understand and clarify concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Friendly and service-oriented demeanor
- Must attend hotel required trainings and meetings
- Maintain regular attendance
- Maintain proper uniform and appearance
- Comply with hotel standards and safety rules
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Ability to understand and apply complex information
- Ability to cross-train in other hotel areas
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Show initiative in anticipating guest or operational needs
- Perform other duties as requested
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hotel or a related field preferred
- Effective communication skills verbally and in writing
- Ability to listen, understand and clarify guest and employee concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
Job Duties
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees
- Set up the bar according to hotel standards and ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently
- Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the hotel’s mixing and presentation standards
- Serve guests with all beverage requirements in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
- Break down bar after the completion of functions, storing liquor, supplies and equipment according to the hotel’s standards
- Follow all state liquor laws
