Job Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Two years bartending experience in a luxury setting
- Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Must obtain Responsible Beverage Service certification within 30 days
- Must obtain California Food Handler Card within 30 days
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Ability to stand or walk for 8 hours
- Basic mathematical and English writing skills
- Ability to communicate in English
- Manual dexterity for bartending tasks
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years bartending experience in a high-end or luxury cocktail bar
- Preferred mixologist experience
- Preferred FORBES training
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
- Basic English language writing skills
- Ability to operate point of sale systems and cash registers
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Duties
- Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily including requisitioning and stocking of beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily function projections
- Maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily to ensure quality
- Greet guests courteously and promote and document drink orders
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes with portion control
- Check guests for proper identification and act upon guest inebriation as trained
- Input orders into register and create checks for guests to maintain beverage accountability
- Receive cash, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges, balance money, lock up beverage and food equipment, deposit cash drops, and secure bank
