We are currently seeking a skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our bar services and ensuring the satisfaction of our guests through excellent drink preparation and customer interaction. The Bartender will be responsible for efficiently managing bar supplies, preparing daily requisitions, and being knowledgeable about the various types of liquors, recipes, and prices of drinks offered. Understanding proper glassware and the appropriate garnishes for each recipe is also a critical aspect of this role. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be proficient in cash handling procedures, including the use of POS systems such as MICROS, and must ensure accurate financial transactions regarding drink charges and tips. Maintaining a positive rapport with guests by anticipating their needs and responding promptly is a priority, as is resolving any complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.

Alongside extensive product knowledge and excellent customer service skills, the Bartender will receive formal training related to liquor liability within the first 30 days of employment, with ongoing training every two years. This position requires the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating both a strong work ethic and effective verbal and written communication skills. Working various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be part of the regular schedule, requiring flexibility and dedication.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work varying schedules including nights weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer for 6 8 hours a day
  • Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday
  • Frequent fine motor skills use of hands and fingers for keyboarding typing utilizing a mouse or trackpad writing and operating office equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Occasionally required to stand walk bend reach or carry items
  • Ability to lift and or move 10 to 25 pounds as needed e g files office supplies
  • Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation
  • Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings use phone and or headset

Job Duties

  • Efficiently maintain bar supplies including preparation of daily requisition as necessary
  • Be completely familiar with all the different kinds of liquor recipes and prices of drinks proper glassware used for each recipe as well as garnishes needed
  • Know drink recipes prices and type of beverages available
  • Be familiar with accurate cash handling procedures including proper discounting MICROS system or registers bank procedures and tip policies
  • Responsible for accurately charging guests for drinks and intake of all monies
  • Anticipate guest needs respond promptly and acknowledge all guests maintaining positive guest relations at all times
  • Resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction in each interaction
  • Be formally trained regarding liquor liability within 30 days of employment and every 2 years thereafter
