The Ballpark at League City is a premier recreational facility known for providing an exceptional experience to both youth and adults through a wide range of sporting and community activities. Located in League City, this vibrant venue features state-of-the-art bat and ball turf fields alongside indoor arenas specifically designed for soccer and flag football. Visitors to the facility also enjoy access to sand volleyball courts, offering a diverse array of ways to stay active and engaged. The role of Bartender at the Ballpark at League City is crucial in maintaining the high standards of customer service and hospitality for which the venue is known. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a diverse selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks tailored to the tastes of our customers. Your duties will extend beyond drink preparation to include ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and alcohol service regulations, thus maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and staff alike. You will handle inventory management by monitoring beverage stock levels, rotating products, and removing expired items to comply with safe handling standards. An essential part of your duties will be operating various work-related equipment such as cash registers, credit card machines, and kitchen apparatus to facilitate smooth service transactions.

This position requires attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area daily, consistent adherence to sanitation guidelines, and effective communication with customers and team members. The successful candidate will be expected to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends to accommodate the facility's operating hours and event schedule. Your role as a Bartender will also involve processing card and mobile payments accurately, reinforcing the Trust and reliability customers expect from their service experience. Job Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 due to TABC requirements
  • flexible schedule to work evenings and weekends
  • any combination of education and experience providing requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities may be substituted at the discretion of Human Resources
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently
  • compliance with city policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) certification or ability to obtain by start date
  • minimum of one year of bartending experience
  • knowledge of food and beverage operations, inventory management, and cost control
  • familiarity with health and safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and alcohol service laws
  • excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • moderate level of technological competency
  • ability to monitor safety standards and act calmly in emergency situations
  • experience interacting with diverse social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks
  • follow safe handling standards for stocking beverages and related supplies, rotate and store products ensuring removal of expired items
