The Bartender position at the Resort Pool of Virgin Hotels is a dynamic and integral role designed to deliver exceptional beverage service alongside superior customer interaction. Job Requirements

  • Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
  • Must be minimum 21 years of age
  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • Food Service Handler Card and TABC certification currently valid for at least 6 months
  • Knowledge of and ability to mix a wide variety of drinks
  • Five years bartending or similar experience or progressive promotion and training within the Beverage department
  • Preferred 1-2 years' experience in a full service restaurant or lounge

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare cocktails for cocktail servers and guests of the Virgin Hotel using prescribed recipes
  • Maintain company funds and equipment in an orderly manner
  • Interact with guests in a manner, which makes them feel comfortable and welcome
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Assist in the delegation of duties to barbacks
  • Monitor proper par levels of all supplies at assigned bars
  • Communicate any problems or situations detrimental to property to immediate supervisor
  • Responsible for the security and accuracy of assigned bank and is accountable for all overages and shortages
  • Must be physically present at work, in assigned workstation, to perform all functions required of the position
  • Always communicate effectively, with customers as well as all levels of employees
  • Observe and direct actions of barbacks and to inspect and maintain areas for which responsible
  • Distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change
  • Review and comprehend all necessary documentation
  • Use the equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to the cash register and all bar equipment
  • Retrieve supplies and maintain a clean working area
  • Other duties as assigned
