Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of bartending experience
  • knowledge of beverage preparation and bar sanitation
  • ability to follow state and federal alcohol laws
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work flexible shifts
  • no supervisory experience required

Job Qualifications

  • bartending operational procedures
  • bar sanitation procedures
  • at least one year of similar experience

Job Duties

  • Set up the bar in function area in accordance with TPC standards
  • ensure par stock levels of required beverage inventory per Banquet Event Order if applicable
  • ensure bar and immediate bar area is clean and properly stocked at all times
  • assume responsibility for security of bar area
  • do not allow unauthorized members or guests behind bar
  • make and serve beverages as requested in a friendly, courteous and timely manner following TPC standards
  • follow proper pouring and garnishing standards to maintain beverage costs
  • advise supervisor of any member or guest complaints for immediate resolution
  • ensure compliance with R.A.M. or Tips programs, and all state and federal laws related to alcohol
  • attend pre-banquet meetings as requested by Food and Beverage Director or Supervisor
  • follow procedures for properly identifying members or guests legally allowed to be served alcoholic beverages
  • understand and comply with state liquor laws
  • inform management of intoxicated members or guests and refuse service as necessary
  • close and break down the bar at designated times
  • reconcile beverage consumption and inventory according to procedures
  • clean bar and bar area thoroughly
  • prepare and serve beer, wine, and cocktails according to specifications
  • handle cash transactions accurately
  • operate within guidelines set by PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties
  • ensure service procedures adhere to TPC Brand Standards
  • maintain proper sanitation and comply with food service regulations
  • assist other employees with banquet services
  • serve beverages professionally and courteously
  • perform special projects or other duties as assigned
