Job Requirements

  • At least six months of experience as a bartender
  • Valid food handler certification
  • Valid TIPS or equivalent certification
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Manual dexterity in hands
  • Ability to use a knife and handle glassware
  • Ability to remember and recite menu items
  • Ability to operate point of sale system
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to comply with attendance rules and work regularly

Job Qualifications

  • At least six months of experience as a bartender
  • Food handler and TIPS or equivalent certifications
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register and perform financial transactions
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to use a knife for garnishes, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead for stock
  • Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures
  • Professional appearance and manner
  • Good communication skills with guests
  • Team player attitude and willingness to assist co-workers

Job Duties

  • Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis
  • Requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce
  • Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily to ensure product quality
  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promoting and documenting orders for drinks
  • Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control
  • Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest to maintain accountability
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure proper execution of vouchers
  • Lock up and store all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned
