Job Requirements
- At least six months of experience as a bartender
- Valid food handler certification
- Valid TIPS or equivalent certification
- Ability to communicate in English
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- Basic mathematical skills
- Manual dexterity in hands
- Ability to use a knife and handle glassware
- Ability to remember and recite menu items
- Ability to operate point of sale system
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner
- Good communication skills
- Team player
- Ability to comply with attendance rules and work regularly
Job Qualifications
- At least six months of experience as a bartender
- Food handler and TIPS or equivalent certifications
- Ability to communicate in English
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register and perform financial transactions
- Sufficient manual dexterity to use a knife for garnishes, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead for stock
- Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items
- Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures
- Professional appearance and manner
- Good communication skills with guests
- Team player attitude and willingness to assist co-workers
Job Duties
- Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis
- Requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce
- Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promoting and documenting orders for drinks
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control
- Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest to maintain accountability
- Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure proper execution of vouchers
- Lock up and store all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
