Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • must possess a valid certificate of completion of Ohio ASK (Alcohol Server Knowledge) program training courses
  • must pass a background check and credit screening for cash handling purposes

Job Qualifications

  • Some food service experience is desired
  • ability to accurately count and handle money
  • knowledge of basic food preparation and safe food handling practices
  • knowledge of alcohol service and mixing drinks
  • able to work and focus in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to follow directions, adapt to constant change and effectively perform the work
  • can work well with others in a team environment and work independently
  • cheerful outlook and neat appearance
  • must speak and understand English
  • understanding of basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements

Job Duties

  • Report to work at assigned time in proper uniform
  • read Banquet Event Order (BEO) and complete bar set-up
  • set bar(s) in assigned area correctly and uniformly
  • keep station neat and clean while servicing guests per established policies and procedures
  • properly account for all bar stock on bar sheets, including opening and closing inventory and recording waste/spoilage
  • monitor, control, and restock bar stock in liquor control rooms
  • greet and serve guests following beverage service guidelines and policies
  • properly identify patrons' legal drinking age in accordance with Ohio laws
  • serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in prescribed measures
  • correctly perform cash handling procedures
  • perform other duties as assigned
