Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in beverage service or hospitality preferred
- Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to memorize menu items and beverage preparation methods
- Familiarity with point of sale systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Duties
- Complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beer and non-alcoholic selections available respective prices
- Knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine and champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list
- Complete knowledge of designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method and garnishes for each drink
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
- Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies and keep bank secure
- Complete opening side duties including stock check and setting up supplies
- Inspect cleanliness and condition of bar, guest and service areas
- Greet guests and take their orders utilizing suggestive selling techniques
- Call orders into Room Service
- Ensure that all drink orders are accurately rung into the point of sale system
- Prepare and serve drinks to guests according to outlet recipes
- Open and serve wine and champagne bottles
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly
- Maintain positive guest relations and handle guest complaints professionally
- Be familiar with all hotel services and local attractions to assist guests
- Answer outlet telephone within 3 rings using proper etiquette
