Job Requirements

Minimum of 21 years of age
3+ years experience as a bartender in a high-volume setting
ability to work flexible and extended hours including weekends and holidays
maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance
knowledge of bar tools and cocktail preparation
ability to operate Point of Sale systems
valid MAST and Food Handler's permit
ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs
excellent communication and guest service skills

Job Qualifications

Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
3+ years' experience as a restaurant bartender in a high-volume bar with a craft cocktail program
extensive knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
ability to work extended hours and flexible shifts including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
ability to understand and follow specialty cocktail recipes
must maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance standard
knowledge of bar tools, especially for measurements of alcohol
utilizing jiggers is mandatory
ability to work independently or in a team during set up and execution of service
knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
ability to transport up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
MAST and Food Handler's permit required

Job Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as ordered and consistent with the restaurant's standard drink recipes
accept guest payment and process credit card charges
check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and record orders accurately into the Point of Sale system
maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation, promotion of beverages, and attractive displays
perform all opening, closing, and cleaning procedures as indicated in the Employee Training Manual
ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests
report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the Food and Beverage manager
demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, promotions, and events
maintain a clean and organized working area, including behind the bar and all storage areas
provide guidance to guests concerning general Seattle attraction information
collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service
set up bar, prepare and serve beverages to guests during an event
