Job Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- 3+ years experience as a bartender in a high-volume setting
- ability to work flexible and extended hours including weekends and holidays
- maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance
- knowledge of bar tools and cocktail preparation
- ability to operate Point of Sale systems
- valid MAST and Food Handler's permit
- ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs
- excellent communication and guest service skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
- 3+ years' experience as a restaurant bartender in a high-volume bar with a craft cocktail program
- extensive knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
- ability to work extended hours and flexible shifts including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to understand and follow specialty cocktail recipes
- must maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance standard
- knowledge of bar tools, especially for measurements of alcohol
- utilizing jiggers is mandatory
- ability to work independently or in a team during set up and execution of service
- knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
- ability to transport up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- MAST and Food Handler's permit required
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as ordered and consistent with the restaurant's standard drink recipes
- accept guest payment and process credit card charges
- check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and record orders accurately into the Point of Sale system
- maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation, promotion of beverages, and attractive displays
- perform all opening, closing, and cleaning procedures as indicated in the Employee Training Manual
- ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests
- report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the Food and Beverage manager
- demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, promotions, and events
- maintain a clean and organized working area, including behind the bar and all storage areas
- provide guidance to guests concerning general Seattle attraction information
- collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service
- set up bar, prepare and serve beverages to guests during an event
