Job Description

Hyatt is a globally recognized hospitality company known for its commitment to unparalleled service and creating memorable experiences for its guests. With a reputation built on quality, care, and inclusivity, Hyatt operates a diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts worldwide. Hyatt’s core philosophy centers around caring for its employees, referred to as colleagues, as they are the heart of the organization. This commitment to care extends to fostering an inclusive work environment that prioritizes well-being, supports both personal and professional growth, and encourages colleagues to thrive. The company values empathy as more than just a principle; it is a foundational way of life that permeates every interaction within the Hyatt family.

The open position is for a Bartender, a dynamic and personable individual to join Hyatt’s team. The Bartender role is highly visible and offers numerous opportunities to interact casually with guests, directly influencing the overall guest experience. This position provides space for creativity and the chance to build and showcase one’s bartending style and expertise. It is an integral role within the hospitality team, responsible for mixing and serving beverages, engaging with guests to customize their experience, and maintaining a vibrant and attractive bar area that meets the highest standards of sanitation and compliance.

Bartenders working at Hyatt are expected to have prior experience in high-volume bar environments, possess refined verbal communication skills, and demonstrate a genuine desire to satisfy guests. Familiarity with contemporary mixology trends, bar equipment, and sanitation protocols is essential, alongside a solid understanding of state and local serving guidelines. The role demands physical stamina to stand for long periods and the capability to lift moderate weights. Flexibility in scheduling is required, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, supporting operations at both the Bistro Lounge and the Rooftop Pool Bar.

This is a full-time seasonal role offering competitive pay, with hourly rates of $14.35 at the Bistro and $14.75 at the Pool Bar. Additional compensation includes overtime, shift differentials, premium pay, tips, commissions, service charges, or incentive awards, making this a financially rewarding opportunity. Hyatt also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance after just 30 days of employment, discounted and free room nights, exclusive savings, paid time off, retirement support, tuition reimbursement, and complimentary meals for employees. Ultimately, working as a Bartender at Hyatt means more than a job; it is part of a career where personal success, professional growth, and workplace satisfaction are deeply valued and supported.
