Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months or more bartending experience
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be legally permitted to serve alcohol
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work self-directed in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours
  • Bartending school preferred

Job Duties

  • Meet company standard for excellent guest service interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
  • Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide described service
  • Serve alcoholic beverages following proper procedures including state/federal alcohol distribution regulations
  • Learn and suggestively upsell beer, wine, and spirits to guests
  • Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company serving size standards
  • Check guest ID to verify minimum age for alcohol purchase
  • Communicate cut-off to guests as required
  • Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • De-escalate intoxicated guest situations
  • Contact management or security for confrontational or belligerent guests
  • Request additional or restock product as required
  • Handle cash accurately and manage issued bank at bar
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work station
  • Ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • Perform set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and assist with cooler organization
