Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months or more bartending experience
  • basic knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • legal age to serve alcohol as per state regulations

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet company standards for guest service interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
  • follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
  • serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
  • learn and suggestively upsell various beer wine and spirits
  • pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company serving size standards
  • check guests identification to verify minimum age requirement
  • communicate a cut-off to guests as required
  • listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • de-escalate intoxicated guest situations
  • contact management or security if a guest becomes confrontational or uses extreme profanity
  • request additional product or restock as required
  • handle cash accurately and manage issued bank at the bar
  • maintain clean and sanitary work station at all times
  • ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • assist with setup and breakdown of bar equipment and organization of the cooler
  • perform other duties as assigned
