The establishment is dedicated to providing guests with an enjoyable and safe experience, particularly when it comes to the responsible service of alcoholic beverages. As a part-time position, the role offers an hourly wage ranging from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour. Additionally, part-time employees receive benefits including a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, making it a rewarding opportunity both financially and professionally. The Bartender is primarily responsible for the service of all beverages, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. In this role, the individual must demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills, professionalism, and an ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. A key part of the job is maintaining excellent attendance and availability to work at scheduled events or shifts as needed by the business. The bartender will follow specific bar pre-shift notes and menus, ensuring compliance with company standards and state and federal regulations for alcohol distribution and service.
Bartenders play a crucial role in guest satisfaction. They are required to know various types of beer, wine, and spirits, and to suggestively upsell these products to enhance the guest experience while driving sales. Responsible drink pouring and strict age verification practices are critical to comply with laws and company policies. The bartender is also expected to listen attentively to guest requests and concerns and handle difficult situations with tact, including the de-escalation of intoxicated individuals and escalating issues to management or security when necessary.
Beyond serving drinks, bartenders must manage cash accurately and maintain a clean and sanitary workspace. This position includes responsibilities such as restocking products, assisting with the setup and breakdown of bar equipment, and ensuring all bar tools and areas meet health and cleanliness standards. The role demands strong organizational skills and a team-oriented mindset, as bartenders need to be self-directed yet collaborative to ensure smooth operations.
This position is ideal for candidates with previous bartending experience of six months or more, strong cash handling abilities, and excellent communication skills. The ability to prioritize tasks, work flexible schedules that include nights, weekends, and long hours, and preferably having completed bartending school, will contribute significantly to success in this role. The establishment values safety, responsibility, and a high standard of customer service, making it an excellent workplace for dedicated bartenders seeking a stable and fulfilling part-time job with additional benefits.
