The Bartender is a pivotal role responsible for the preparation and service of all beverages, covering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties. This professional is expected to maintain excellent attendance and remain flexible to work scheduled events as business needs dictate. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum six months bartending experience
  • accurate cash handling skills
  • knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage preparation
  • ability to follow state and federal alcohol regulations
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights

Job Qualifications

  • Six months or more experience bartending
  • accurate cash handling skills
  • ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours
  • bartending school preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for guest service, interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
  • follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
  • serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
  • learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties and spirits and suggestively upsell products to guests
  • pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards
  • check guests' ID in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • communicate a cut-off to a guest as required
  • listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
  • de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security if needed
  • contact management if unable to resolve or make decisions beyond standard scope
  • request additional or restock product as required
  • handle cash accurately and be responsible for issued bank at the bar
  • maintain clean and sanitary work station
  • ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
  • perform set-up and breakdown of bar equipment and assist with cooler organization
