Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months or more bartending experience
- Ability to obtain MAST 12 certification within 2 weeks of hire
- Food Handler's Card or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire
- Availability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to de-escalate difficult situations
Job Qualifications
- Six months or more experience bartending
- Accurate cash handling skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be self-directed while working in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours
- Bartending school preferred
Job Duties
- Demonstrate ability to meet company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers and uniform standards
- Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
- Serve alcoholic beverages following proper procedures including state/federal regulations (MAST 12 required or ability to obtain within 2 weeks)
- Learn and suggestively upsell various beer, wine varieties, and spirits
- Pour drinks responsibly according to company standards
- Check guest's ID to verify minimum age requirement
- Communicate a cut-off to guest as required
- Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
- De-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management/security if needed
- Contact management if beyond scope of decision-making
- Request or restock product as needed
- Handle cash accurately and maintain assigned bar bank
- Maintain clean and sanitary work station and bar equipment
- Prepare and serve food items using proper sanitary techniques (Food Handler's Card required or ability to obtain within 2 weeks)
- Set up and breakdown bar equipment and assist with cooler organization
