Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bartending or related food and beverage experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity for drink preparation
  • Willingness to follow safety and security policies
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages
  • Basic mathematical skills to operate cash register, make change, and total guest checks
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and handle glassware and bottles
  • Ability to remember and promote menu items
  • Ability to operate keyboard and point of sale procedures
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and guests

Job Duties

  • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis including requisitioning and stocking from daily functions projections
  • Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily to ensure product quality
  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner and promote and document orders for drinks
  • Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes with prudent portion control
  • Abide by all state, federal, and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages and ensure proper liquor controls are in place
  • Input orders into the point of sale register and create checks for each guest to maintain accountability
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, and ensure proper execution of vouchers and compliance with cash handling policies
  • Lock up and store all beverage, food, and equipment items and secure cash deposits
  • Comply with attendance rules and be regularly available to work
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
