Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register and handle monetary transactions
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to use a knife to make garnish and manual dexterity to scoop ice, mix drinks and retrieve stock
  • Ability to remember and promote menu items
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale system
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Professional appearance and manner
  • Self-starting personality with even disposition

Job Duties

  • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis including requisitioning and stocking of all supplies
  • Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily
  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner and promote and document orders for drinks
  • Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and portion control
  • Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages and ensure proper liquor controls
  • Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create checks for all guests to maintain accountability
  • Receive cash, make change, verify charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed to balance all monies
  • Lock up and store all beverage, food and other equipment items and secure cash deposits
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
