Currently, Shaner Hotels presents a remarkable job opportunity at the Fairfield Inn Daytona Beach, situated in the vibrant ONE DAYTONA entertainment district. This Fairfield Inn stands out with its unique raceway-themed decor, complete with artwork and photographic displays that celebrate the historic speedway. The hotel caters to guests with amenities including a lobby bar, complimentary hot breakfast, outdoor pool, fitness center, and 105 spacious guest rooms and suites each equipped with a microwave and refrigerator.

The role at Fairfield Inn Daytona Beach is focused on ensuring the smooth operation and guest satisfaction within the Food and Beverage Department. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts. Responsibilities include maintaining compliance with the hotel's operational procedures, upholding high standards of food and beverage safety and quality aligned with hotel, Shaner, and franchise guidelines, and ensuring a safe work environment. The individual will be responsible for handling guest-related issues professionally and facilitating clear communication with the General Manager, other Department Managers, Supervisors, and staff. Additionally, this role involves taking orders and preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, along with light meals, in a courteous and efficient manner per hotel standards. Maintaining cleanliness and stock levels in the outlet and equipment management are also key duties.

This position is ideal for candidates with at least one year of experience in the restaurant or food and beverage sector, who meet the legal age requirements to serve alcohol. Candidates should have good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members and the ability to interpret operational and safety documents. While a high school diploma or equivalent is required, some college education is preferred. Additional certifications such as ServSafe or food safety training and alcohol awareness programs like TIPS are advantageous. Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls, basic math skills, and bilingual abilities in English and Spanish will also benefit potential candidates. Knowledge of local attractions suitable for the clientele enhances the guest experience. Job Duties

  • be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts
  • ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the food and beverage department
  • maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel shaner and franchise specifications
  • maintain and abide by standards and procedures for operations and safe working conditions in the department
  • respond and handle guest related issues pertaining to the department
  • ensure communication with general manager all other department managers supervisors and staff
  • take orders prepare and serve alcoholic non-alcoholic beverages and light meals to guests courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications
  • maintain stock supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment
  • perform other duties as assigned
