We are currently seeking experienced, certified bartenders to join our on-call team at the PITT-University Club. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $20.00, with an on-call schedule where days and hours vary to meet the dynamic needs of the club. The role is perfect for those who have prior ramp certification and bartending experience, allowing them to perform expertly while engaging guests in a friendly and professional manner. As a Bartender, you will prepare, serve, and manage beverage services adhering to strict state, federal, and corporate regulations surrounding the sale of alcoholic beverages. Your responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar, crafting drinks efficiently with standard recipes, and ensuring guest safety by checking identifications and monitoring alcohol consumption. Job Requirements
- Prior bartending experience
- Ramp certification
- Ability to work on an on-call schedule with varying days and hours
- Must be able to comply with all applicable liquor laws and regulations
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to bar setup and cleaning
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to interact courteously with guests and team members
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly

Job Duties
- Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- Sets up assigned bars
- requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
- Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
- Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner
- Takes and/or processes orders for drinks
- mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes
- practices prudent portion control
- Checks guests at the bar for proper identification
- Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained
- Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws
- Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed
- Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops
