Job Description

Sodexo is a global leader in providing integrated food services, facilities management, and other support services that aim to enhance quality of life for individuals and communities worldwide. At Sodexo, the focus is on creating better everyday experiences for both customers and employees. As a company, Sodexo is dedicated to fostering a culture of respect, inclusion, and opportunity for all its workforce. This commitment to diversity and equality ensures that every employee is valued and can thrive in an environment where ideas and opinions matter. The company operates across many sectors, delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Sodexo’s presence in communities is not only about business success but about contributing socially, economically, and environmentally to build a sustainable future.

The Bartender Non-Tipped position at Sodexo, based at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center, offers part-time employment with a pay range of $14 to $20 per hour. This role is pivotal in delivering excellent customer service in a hospitality environment, focusing on mixology without the typical tipping structure. This position requires flexibility as work shifts and days vary, with a preference for open availability. The bartender serves as both a mixologist and a customer service expert, responsible for preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages either directly to patrons or through wait staff. The role demands maintaining a clean and organized bar area, which includes preparing garnishes and recording sales transactions accurately via cash, credit, or electronic payment systems. Punctuality and reliability are critical as the employee must attend scheduled shifts on time and maintain consistent attendance. Opportunities for learning and growth come from working within a team that values adaptability and safety in the workplace. The position welcomes candidates with 0 to 1 year of experience, making it an ideal entry point for new bartenders or those wishing to refine their mixology skills within a supportive company. Having the appropriate bartending licenses or certifications when required is necessary for compliance with local laws. Sodexo also provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, retirement savings plans, employee discount programs, and potentially site-specific perks such as meals or transportation assistance. Sodexo encourages prospective employees to inquire about benefits as part of the hiring process to understand the full value of working within this global organization. This role is perfect for those who enjoy creating enjoyable experiences for guests, appreciate a supportive work environment, and want to grow their career while contributing positively to their community and workplace culture.
